Step by Step Guide to Producing your Digital Image Entries.<\/p>\n
The following instructions assume that you are using Photoshop\u00ae and the Windows\u00ae
\noperating system, however you can apply them to almost any image editor of your choice.<\/p>\n
1. Open your \u2018My Documents’ folder and from the menu select File > New > Folder\u00a0and name it (your name)(competition) Images.\u00a0Example: Anthony Timmins Merit 1 Images.<\/p>\n
2. Close the ‘My Documents’ folder.<\/p>\n
3. Open Photoshop.<\/p>\n
4. From the menu select File > Open and then navigate to the first image that you\u00a0wish to include in your submission, and open it.<\/p>\n
5. From the main menu select Image > Image Size. Then change the ‘Width and Height to suit the maximum required dimensions of 1600 pixels (Max width) and 1200 pixels (Max Height). Click OK.
\nNote that landscape crops should be max 1600 pixels wide and portrait crops should be max 1200 pixels high. You do not need to crop your image to precisely 1600 x 1200 (remember to sharpen the image).<\/p>\n
6. From the main menu select File > Save As then:<\/p>\n
a. Select the folder that you created in step 1 as the folder to save to. 7. Close the file.<\/p>\n 8. Now follow steps 4 through 7 to create your other images.<\/p>\n 9. \nb. Rename the file as (Title of the picture) by (your name)
\nExample:<\/strong> Elephants in Amboseli by Anthony Timmins
\nIF the word \u2018by\u2019 is in the Title then the Title MUST be in CAPITALS.

\nc. From the ‘Format field choose JPEG (.JPG) and click SAVE.
\nd. In the ‘JPEG Options’ box that appears choose ‘Quality’ 12 (Maximum) then\u00a0click OK.<\/p>\n
