Members’ Evening: You Be The Judge

Our “You Be The Judge” evening turns the tables and puts the judging firmly in the hands of the members. We’ll split into small groups and work our way through a selection of projected images, discussing the strengths and weaknesses of each one before deciding how we would score or place them. It’s a great way to discover whether we really see an image in the same way as an experienced judge, and often leads to some lively debate along the way. More importantly, it gives us a useful insight into what makes an image stand out in competition and can help us look at our own photography with a more critical eye.
