Competition 4 – The John Hughes Trophy for Best Monochrome Print

The John Hughes Trophy is our annual competition for Monochrome Prints and is always a popular date in the DPS calendar. Members are invited to submit up to three of their best black-and-white prints, with the competition celebrating everything from bold graphic images and dramatic landscapes to portraits, architecture and more experimental approaches. Stripping away colour places even more emphasis on light, shape, texture and composition, making this a great opportunity to show just how powerful a well-made monochrome print can be.
