Meeting Report – 3rd November 2021

On Wednesday 3rd November 2021, Dunchurch Photographic Society held their Open Subject Projected Digital Image (PDI) competition at the WI Hall on Southam Road, Dunchurch. The members were competing for the coveted President’s Trophy, and they were treated to no less than 42 entries for the 2021/22 season. Any one member was permitted to submit up to three images in accordance with the Society rules.

The judge for the evening was Steve Clifford AFIAP, CPAGB, BPE3 from Cannock. The quality of the entries gave the judge plenty of food for thought and it was a difficult decision to establish which images made it to a second assessment before an eventual winner was selected.

As the Chairman of the Society, I thank all of the members who took part in this fascinating competition and of course to Steve Clifford for his very considered and fair critique of all of our images.

Many congratulations to Steven Farmer, who gained his first overall trophy win and gained 1st place in the competition with an image called Fields Of Gold. A superb infra-red image and a worthy winner.

Of course, well done to all of our members who were successful in the competition with images that were Commended, Highly commended or finished in 3rd or 2nd place.

A fantastic evening, and a very positive and proud reflection on the photography achieved by Dunchurch Photographic Society members.
