Mobile Phone Fun Competition – 5th November 2025
There were fireworks of a different kind at Dunchurch Photographic Society on the evening of November 5th as members engaged in a light-hearted, but fantastically competitive photographic competition. What made this competition different was that all of the images had been captured using a mobile phone camera.
The quality of images on show was very high, as we have come to expect from within our membership ranks. With no less than 60 images presented on the evening, the quality was matched by the very diverse range of subjects captured by mobile phone – from Windsor Castle, a butterfly, abstracts, aircraft, portraiture, trains and from wonderful landscapes to windmills. The display was a credit to the Society members.
So how was a winner selected? With this being considered as a fun and spontaneous type of competition, the members were able to vote for their favourite image from the selection. The results were as follows –

3rd Place – Out Of The Ground – Warren Strickland

2nd Place – Mike Smith (Behind The Waterfall)

1st Place – Ian Andrew
Many congratulations to Ian for the winning image, and many, many thanks to all of our members that submitted images to make for an excellent competition to participate in. Take a bow folks!
