Merit Competitions (2020)

Unfortunately, due to the situation relating to the virus pandemic, our end of season review and awards evening was one of the events that we have had to postpone. This has meant that the overall winners of our four Merit competition trophies have not yet been formally announced. It was intended that the ‘official reveal’ of those winners would be held back until the awards evening. As we have not been able to meet in person for the announcement, we publish the winners here.

It gives us great pleasure to reveal the winners.

Chairman’s Note – After what seemed to be a slow start in the Merit competitions for the 2019/20 season, we actually saw lots of really fine work from our members, showcasing the different interpretations of the ‘brief’ for each round and the differing means of processing the work at hand. But of course, they cannot all win.  Never forget that an image that may be cast aside one week by one judge, could just as easily become a winner the next week. Never lose heart. Listen to the feedback of judges. Keep going, keep evolving your work, and most of all, keep entering!! One day your hard work will be rewarded.
